Honda, a prominent player in India’s motorcycle and scooter market, has unveiled the new Repsol edition of the Hornet 2.0 motorcycle. Priced at INR 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom), this edition showcases a vibrant Repsol-inspired design and is available for purchase at all Honda Red Wing dealerships across the country.
The Repsol edition of the Hornet 2.0 boasts eye-catching graphics reminiscent of the brand’s iconic MotoGP machine. With a striking combination of orange, white, red, and blue decals adorning the fuel tank and tail section, the motorcycle exudes a sporty and aggressive appeal. The ‘Repsol’ branding prominently displayed on the fuel tank further accentuates its racing lineage. Mechanically, it retains the same sporty bodywork as the standard model.
Under the hood, the Hornet 2.0 packs an 184cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine capable of delivering 17.03bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.1Nm at 6,000rpm. This powerplant is paired with a five-speed gearbox. The motorcycle features a diamond-type frame, 17-inch alloy wheels, USD forks, and a monoshock suspension system for a comfortable and stable ride. Braking duties are handled by a single disc at both ends. Notable features include all-LED lighting, an LCD instrument cluster with adjustable brightness settings, and an assist and slipper clutch for smoother gear shifts.
In addition to the Hornet 2.0, Honda has also introduced a Repsol edition of the Dio 125 scooter, priced at INR 92,300. Both these special editions will be available exclusively through Honda’s Red Wing outlets.
Honda’s decision to introduce these Repsol-themed variants coincides with the upcoming MotoGP race in India this weekend. The Repsol graphics pay homage to the brand’s illustrious racing heritage.
The Dio 125 is equipped with a 123.92cc, BS6 Phase 2-compliant, single-cylinder engine producing 8.3hp and 10.4Nm of torque. It features Honda’s Combi-Brake System (CBS) with Equaliser, a 12-inch front wheel with telescopic suspension, and a three-step adjustable rear suspension.
On the other hand, the Hornet 2.0 Repsol edition boasts a 184.40cc, single-cylinder engine generating 17hp and 15.9Nm of torque, along with a newly introduced slipper clutch. This variant also comes equipped with dual petal disc brakes and a single-channel ABS for enhanced safety and control on the road.
