Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the Xoom 160 maxi-scooter, marking a significant milestone for the renowned two-wheeler manufacturer, at the EICMA event held in Milan, Italy.

The Hero Xoom 160 stands out as a sporty maxi-scooter characterized by its imposing stature. At the forefront, it features an assertive fairing adorned with dual headlamps and a tall visor, complemented by wide handlebars and a unified seat.

Under the hood, the Xoom 160 draws power from a 156cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, capable of delivering 13.8 BHP at 8,000 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The maxi-scooter boasts a front telescopic fork and dual rear shock absorbers for a comfortable ride. It rides on 14-inch alloy wheels fitted with dual-purpose tires and is equipped with disc brakes at both the front and rear.

In terms of modern features, the Xoom 160 comes equipped with a smart key offering remote key ignition, remote seat opening, and a digital instrument console.

Hero MotoCorp’s EICMA 2023 showcase also included the Xoom 125R sporty scooter. Once it hits the Indian market, the Hero Xoom 125R will enter into competition with rivals like the TVS Ntorq 125 and the Suzuki Avenis 125.

The Xoom 125R builds upon the design of the Xoom 110 but incorporates a more robust bodywork with numerous angular contours, enhancing its sporty appeal. Adding to its sporty character, the scooter rolls on 14-inch alloy wheels.

Notable features of the Hero Xoom 125R include a full-LED lighting system, innovative sequential LED indicators, a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation capabilities.

Powering the Xoom 125R is a 125cc engine paired with a CVT automatic transmission, with specific power figures yet to be disclosed by Hero. It is anticipated that the motor will offer slightly higher power output than the Hero Maestro Edge 125. The expected price tag for the Xoom 125R is estimated to be around Rs. 85,000 (ex-showroom).
