Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM has released online images of its all-new 2024 KTM 250 and 125 Duke motorcycles, showcasing an entirely new design and several new features and hardware components. The official unveiling is scheduled for later today.
The global price figures for the motorcycles have not yet been announced, but KTM is expected to do so in the coming months.
Both motorcycles share similarities in design, including headlamps, alloy wheels, tank design, and taillamps. The 125 Duke will be available in Blue and Orange color schemes, while the 250 Duke will have White and Orange options. Both bikes will feature a 5-inch TFT display and updated switchgear, with connectivity functions such as music control, incoming call alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation.
The 2024 KTM 125 Duke has received significant updates, including a fresh styling that resembles the new 2024 390 Duke. The headlamp appears bolder, and the fuel tank extensions are sharper and more muscular. The rear section is unique, with no body panels and a fully exposed revised sub-frame. The new orange and black paint scheme adds to the visual appeal.
On the hardware front, the 125 Duke has been comprehensively overhauled. It includes an all-new steel trellis frame, a pressure die-cast aluminum sub-frame, an offset monoshock from WP, and a new curved swingarm. The braking setup consists of a 320mm disc upfront and a 240mm rotor at the rear. The bike is powered by a 124.9cc, liquid-cooled engine that produces 14.7bhp and 11Nm and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The India-specific model of the 2024 KTM 125 Duke, expected to launch soon, might differ from the international version, with more budget components to keep costs in check.
KTM has also unveiled the much-anticipated 2024 390 Duke, featuring updates such as a bigger 399cc Euro 5.2-ready liquid-cooled engine, an improved gearbox, larger airbox, and an optimized cylinder head. The engine offers multiple ride modes and segment-first launch control. The bike is built on a new steel trellis frame and includes lighter alloys and rotors. The international model will have Michelin radial tires, while the India-spec version might have Apollo units.
The updated 390 Duke weighs 165kg (without fuel) and features an updated 5-inch TFT with Bluetooth connectivity. The wheelbase is slightly longer, and the seat has been redesigned with thicker foam and a narrower profile.
These new models mark a significant step in KTM’s ongoing commitment to innovation and design, further solidifying its position in the global motorcycle market.
