Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson’s collaboration has resulted in a new motorcycle, the details of which have been leaked on the internet. The images suggest that the new bike will feature a classic circular headlight, including Harley-Davidson lettering in the DRL, and three ice cube LED units. The motorcycle will not come with a retro-styled design, and several styling cues in the viral photos clearly support this statement. According to reports, the upcoming bike from Bajaj X Harley Davidson will be far better than the Street 750, which was also manufactured in India.
The engine and power details are still a mystery, but rumors suggest it could feature around a 400cc engine that is likely to generate 15-20 horsepower. The gearbox will have six speeds without the slip-and-assist clutch. It is expected that the bike might be loaded with several features, including a Rain mode and a Sport mode that allows riders to have a safe riding experience. The number plate visible on the bike calls it the Hd 4xx, which could be a teaser to the engine capacity being above 400cc.
Visually, the bike appears to be inspired by the old XR1200 roadsters, with a wide and muscular-looking fuel tank that flows down to the seat. It has a USD fork instead of a telescopic fork, and twin shock absorbers sporting progressive springs and piggyback reservoirs at the rear. The bike gets Bybre disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS, with LED lighting all around. The LED headlight gets a horizontal DRL right in the center, and the rectangular tail-light is quite reminiscent of the Yamaha FZ-X. The launch date of the new motorcycle has not been announced yet.
