Yamaha Motor India has launched the 2023 MT-15 V2, a roadster-segment motorcycle, in India with a starting price of Rs. 1,64,900. The MT-15 V2 competes with KTM 125 Duke, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, and Apache RTR 200 4V in the Indian market. The motorcycle is available in two variants and six colour options – Dark Matte Blue, Metallic Black, Cyan Storm, Ice Fluo-vermillion, Racing Blue, and Metallic Black DLX.
The motorcycle features a projector-style headlight with twin DRLs, a muscular fuel tank, a step-up seat, engine cowl, a side-slung exhaust, and 17-inch wheels on both ends. The motorcycle also offers optional accessories such as a tank pad, skid plate, USB charger, and adjustable levers. The MT-15 V2 retains the 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system, and the addition of OBD2 hardware. The motor delivers a maximum output of 18.1bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 14.2Nm at 7,500rpm, linked to a six-speed gearbox.
The MT-15 V2 is available in two variants – Standard and Y-connect. The latter offers Bluetooth connectivity that brings additional features such as call alert, SMS and e-mail alert, phone battery level, last parked location, and malfunction notification. All colour options, except the Metallic Black and Dark Matte Blue paint themes, get full-LED lighting. The Metallic Black and Dark Matte Blue paint themes use bulb-type turn indicators and don’t get Bluetooth connectivity.
The prices for the 2023 MT-15 V2 start from Rs. 1,64,900 and vary depending on the colour choices. The Metallic Black (new) and Dark Matte Blue (new) variants are priced at Rs. 1,64,900, while the Cyan Storm, Ice Fluo-vermillion, Racing Blue, and Metallic Black DLX variants are priced at Rs. 1,68,900.
